Naturopathic Medicine is a holistic form of primary healthcare that goes beyond simply suppressing symptoms with temporary quick fixes. While combining modern scientific research with natural forms of medicine, Naturopathic Medicine strives to identify and treat the root cause of disease. Naturopathic Medicine acknowledges that the body has an innate ability to heal itself, especially when provided with the right set of tools including lifestyle modification, optimal nutrition, herbal medicine and acupuncture. Naturopathic Medicine treats both chronic and acute conditions, however the focus is also on prevention of disease. Treatments are always personalized to meet an individual's unique set of needs.
Complimentary Consult:
I will always first invite you to book your complimentary visit to further explore how I can help you reach your health goals and to ensure that we are both a great fit for one another.
Initial Consult:
A 75min initial appointment can be booked following your
complimentary consult. It is during your initial appointment when we dive deep into your health history and presenting concerns, and establish your health goals. I want to understand the factors that are influencing your body and current health status so that we can begin to establish the foundation for your health.
In-office testing or further comprehensive testing may be required as part of your initial appointment, in order to thoroughly investigate any underlying causes of your presenting symptoms. You may be provided with treatment recommendations at the end as a starting point, which may include a combination of lifestyle strategies, dietary recommendations
and/or the strategic use of herbal and/or nutritional supplements.
Please take some time to thoroughly complete your intake forms prior to your initial appointment as well as provide any recent testing or blood work results during your appointment.
Follow-ups:
Follow-ups range between 30-45min in length. You can expect your first follow up to be 45 min in length and in 1-2 weeks after your initial appointment. During your first follow-up appointment, we will discuss any lab test results in detail and based
on these results, we may make modifications to your treatment plan as needed.
I will also always take the time to promote body literacy, provide health education and empower you to take control of your health.
With further follow-ups, you can expect to meet 1-2 times per month over the next 4-6 months or longer depending on your unique set of health goals. With these follow ups, we are able to continually work on restoring your health while tracking your progress, ordering new tests as needed and modifying your treatment plan.
Once your health is restored and your goals are met, we will transition you into a maintenance plan, which will require much less frequent visits unless a new concern arises.
